Exchanging election results securely

Municipalities submitted results by email or USB drive. A secure digital route was needed. We built a platform for uploads, file checks and permission-based access. An overview tracks progress. More than 320 municipalities submitted files securely. All 19 electoral districts used the platform for further exchange.

New cloud services available in ten minutes

Adding a cloud service took a week, slowing experimentation with new technology. We developed and introduced a platform for managing cloud environments and experiments by multiple users. A new service is now available within ten minutes. Eight times as many users can experiment with new technology.

Controlling robots in everyday language

NATO explored how people could easily control and understand multiple uncrewed systems. We demonstrated a robot dog that answers questions about its surroundings and follows instructions in everyday language. The demonstration showed how users can request information without technical expertise and how different systems work together.

The university wanted to make sensitive data useful for analysis without first making its contents readable. We enabled secure search and anomaly detection within an existing platform. Organisations can analyse data and use the technology in their own applications without exposing sensitive content.

Making large research files available online

Research data about wind farms was shipped around the world on hard drives. This took a great deal of time. We built a searchable publication and download platform, plus a tool for uploading large files. Researchers can find and download the data themselves. Pleio no longer needs to ship hard drives for this exchange.

The government wanted its own video calling solution, independent of large foreign providers. We built an accessible platform for browser-based calls, with screen sharing and background blur. Pleio can offer its own video calling platform to more than a hundred organisations using its software.

Security that can adapt

Introducing a different form of encryption often requires changes throughout an application. We are developing a demonstration in which encryption and digital signing methods can be exchanged. The demonstration aims to show how organisations can update their security without rebuilding their application.

Reading advisers wanted to create tours suited to pupils' ages and the branch they were visiting. We built a first version for creating interactive tours with information and questions. The library can test the idea in practice. The advisers' experiences will guide the next version.

Promoting Almere together

Visitors at a hotel or activity did not automatically discover what else Almere had to offer. We connected current information from Almere City Marketing to emails, websites and screens at local businesses. The municipality and businesses promote current activities together. Guests find relevant events more easily without manual updates.

We built a platform with a searchable catalogue, suitable booking forms and an administration area. Users find what they need more easily. Staff can track bookings and their progress.

FlevoMeer wanted parents to experience the positive sides of gaming and social media as well as the risks. We made an online game in which parents experience situations from a child's perspective. Parents can play independently. Library staff use the game to start conversations about children's media use.

Taking children on a book journey from home and school

During lockdown, the library wanted to reach children at home and get them excited about books. Together with AppRuption, we built an online escape room with imaginary worlds and book-themed puzzles. The game was played over 8,000 times in its first months. More than ten other library organisations joined in.

During disasters, information from cameras and sensors converges. NATO wanted to make it securely available to responders. We built a prototype that collects sources, analyses camera images and securely passes on information. NATO can demonstrate how decision makers gain a clearer picture during a disaster.

We reviewed the technology, mapped the risks and contributed to the new version and its user screens. Reliable management of the Warning Register

FAD needed a new technical partner to keep the register running securely and document the knowledge behind it. We are taking over maintenance step by step, documenting the setup and making changes in a controlled way. FAD gains one point of contact and a clear foundation for maintenance and future improvements.

Bookings and loyalty points without disconnected systems

Guests needed an easier way to book online, while the point of sale system, customer records and a new loyalty scheme had to work together. We connected the website to the point of sale system and worked on bookings and a custom solution for loyalty cards and points. Guests can do more themselves. Staff can track reservations and points balances in one coherent process.

Car inventory was shared through several websites, each with its own integration. Keeping everything up to date was difficult. We built a central platform, websites for the Netherlands and export markets, and an initial dashboard for GAM. GAM manages its inventory centrally and always displays the relevant cars and prices on its own websites.

Quality and contracts in one dashboard

Contracts and quality checks were scattered across files and systems. Comparing them took manual work. We developed a dashboard that brings together contracts, reports and automatically imported inspections. Staff have the most important information in one place and can discuss results with clients sooner.

More reliable analysis of cockpit footage

DeBriefer did not always recognise text and measurements in cockpit footage correctly, making demonstrations difficult. We improved image analysis, corrected recognised values and developed detection of signals on instruments. VRef gained a stronger first version that better shows airlines what DeBriefer can do.
