The challenge
Conversations about gaming and social media often focus on risks and screen time. FlevoMeer Bibliotheek also wanted parents of children aged 7 to 15 to experience the benefits. This creates room for parents and children to talk about media use.
What we delivered
We turned FlevoMeer's idea into an online game for parents. They experience situations from a child's perspective and discover what gaming and social media can mean. Media coaches and Windesheim students helped shape the game.
The result
FlevoMeer has a game parents can play on their own and library staff can use in conversations or at parent evenings. It helps start a positive conversation about children's media use.
