The challenge
A client of Stichting Pleio manages large research files about North Sea wind farms. Sharing them was time-consuming: files were copied to external hard drives and shipped worldwide. Pleio needed a way to make the data available online and upload large files easily.
What we delivered
We built one platform where Pleio can upload, organise and describe files. Visitors can search and download them directly. We also developed a Windows and Mac application for uploading large files to the storage system. The offshore wind energy website uses information from the same platform.
The result
Pleio's client can now publish and manage its research data online. Interested people can find and download the files themselves, eliminating the need to ship hard drives for this exchange.
