The challenge
H2B ICT Solutions delivers network services to internet providers. It needed its own platform to manage customers, services and connected network components. The platform also had to connect other systems, such as a CRM, and give the front office a place to track current issues.
What we delivered
WonderBit provided the lead engineer and worked in H2B's internal team from the start through the release of version 1.0 in the first quarter of 2021. Together we wrote DUS Tool from the ground up in Python and Django, with PostgreSQL and Redis as the database and Celery and RabbitMQ for background tasks. Docker splits the application into separate containers, a GitLab pipeline handles testing and deployment, and users are managed through an LDAP directory with hierarchical permissions. Sentry and Flower keep track of errors and performance, and access logs support audits.
The result
With DUS Tool, H2B has a platform to deliver network services to thousands of customers. Front-office staff track issues in it, and other systems such as the CRM are connected to it. The clear design and the way of working gave H2B the confidence to put new ideas into practice straight away.
